What is the EV charger rebate program?
The Government of B.C. has a rebate program to help homes and workplaces across the province get ready for electric vehicles (EVs). BC Hydro and Fortis Electric administer the program. If you’re a Fortis Electric customer, please apply through their website.
The program offers rebates to help offset the cost of installing EV charging infrastructure. With more people driving EVs, it’s important to have enough charging stations available to meet demand. The rebate program will help make B.C. a leader in sustainable transportation.
How much is the rebate for?
BC Hydro is offering a rebate of up to 50% of costs, to a maximum of $350, for single-family homes, row homes, duplexes or townhouses that purchase and install an eligible Level 2 EV charger.
For a limited time, BC Hydro is also offering additional funding of up to $250 for single-family home customers who install an eligible Juicebox smart EV charger. This funding is in addition to the rebate of up to $350 offered by the Clean BC Go Electric EV Charger Rebate Program.
